All three officers have over 20 years of experience with the division. The driver of the car was not injured during the incident, but Andrews sustained unknown injuries.

The video footage shows bullet holes in the windshield of the vehicle and multiple officers heard on the body camera telling Andrews to put his hands up and each other that the passenger (Andrews) was 'reaching.' It is unclear from the footage what the initial noise was or if it was a gunshot, whether it came from an officer or Andrews.

At one point, Andrews appears to be holding a beer and texting on his phone, as seen in the audio footage. After getting back into the vehicle, the officers surround the car, verbally ordering Andrews and the driver to put their hands up. The vehicles facing the car had red and blue lights activated at the time of the incident.

Before the shots were fired, SWAT officers are heard talking with each other on the footage after spotting Andrews standing outside the passenger side of the car in the Home Depot parking lot. The officers were wearing police equipment, including bulletproof vests, that identified themselves as police officers.

The Columbus Police Department has identified the officers involved in the incident and is currently investigating the shooting. The incident has raised concerns about excessive force and police accountability, with many calling for transparency and answers regarding the circumstances surrounding Andrews' shooting.
